I began training at the age of 16 years old (1993) where I trained alongside a saddler which entailed going on modules for one week 16 times over a 3 year period upon completion I became a qualified saddler. During this period in 1995 I started up my own business which has gone from strength to strength. I took part in a competition called The Prince of Wales Award in which I won twice and was invited to meet HRH the Prince of Wales.
After successfully starting my business and watching it grow I took it upon myself to further my skills and take further courses in side saddle, saddle fitting and extend my knowledge of saddlery.
On request by some of my regular customers I now stock clothing and accessories range for horse and rider, as well as a wide range of gifts and cards for all occasions.
My main side of the business is bespoke work and repairs. I do a wide range of repairs which include new zips (riding boots, chaps, handbags, gun cases etc) as well as repairs to motorbike leathers, saddles and reflocking. I also offer an extensive rug washing and repair service.
In 2007 I purchased another business called the Vale of Belvoir Leathers which is made to measure riding chaps which is a well known company for quality goods.
I am also an independent distributor for Bioflow products. Ecoflow.com
